When Dr. Steve and Dr. Angie Hernandez opened Central Texas Pediatric Dentistry, they had a simple mission: give every Austin child the same gentle, expert care they'd want for their own five kids.

Both are Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry — the highest credential in the specialty — trained at Children's Medical Center Dallas, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, and Baylor College of Dentistry. Their office sits right next to Dell Children's Medical Center, where Dr. Steve also performs hospital dentistry for patients who need it most.

From your child's first tooth to their teen years, you'll see the same two faces: a husband-and-wife team that chooses this community the way you choose a dentist — personally.

Dr. Steve and Dr. Angie Hernandez are both Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry — the board certification fewer than half of all pediatric dentists hold.

Dr. Steve serves as a Major in the US Air Force Reserve and has led the Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Angie holds fellowship training in orthodontics and is a mother of five — she brings lived experience to every conversation about childhood dental development.
